Terms and Conditions

  1. 1. Information on how to register and enter the competition form part of the terms and conditions. Participation in this offer is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. 2. The promoter is Bupa Australia Health Pty Ltd ABN 50 003 098 655. Trading as Mutual Community ("the Promoter").
  3. 3. The promotion commences on 1 August 2008 and closes 9 January 2009 ("Offer Period").
  4. 4. The offer is open to all residents of South Australia aged 18 years or over who:
    1. (a) have registered in both the 2008 City-Bay Fun Run and the 2009 Mutual Community Challenge Tour; and
    2. (b) have registered to take part in this promotion at mutualcommunity.com.au (by following the links to the on line registration form for the Mutual Community Double Challenge) ("Eligible Participants").
  5. 5. Management, employees or contractors of the Promoter and other agencies, firms or companies associated with the promotion (including supplier of vouchers), and their immediate families are not eligible to enter this promotion.
  6. 6. Eligible Participants do not need to be a Mutual Community member to enter.
  7. 7. Winner selects from either the Tour de France package or the London Marathon and Paris package up to a total $10,000:
    1. (a) Tour de France package: Prize value for the Tour de France package is $7600 per person (including GST.) Prize is for 2 adults. Prize consists of 11 day/10 night Tour de France group tour for the Alps to Paris leg. This includes return economy class flights (departing from Adelaide), 10 nights accommodation, buffet breakfast and seven evening meals at a 3 star hotel. Transfer costs and spending money are at winner’s cost. This prize must be redeemed during the Alps to Paris leg of the 2009 Tour de France.
    2. (b) London Marathon and Paris package: Prize value for this package is $6500 per person (including GST). Prize is for 2 adults. Prize consists of 11 day/10 night London to Paris tour. This includes return economy class flights (departing from Adelaide to London and return flight from Paris to Adelaide), 6 nights bed and buffet breakfast accommodation in 3 star hotel in London. Prize includes return transfers from airport to hotel, London Oyster travel card for one week, half day hop on – hop off travel pass for London, two tickets for the London Eye, transportation to the start of the London Marathon and entry to the London Marathon. Other transfer costs and spending money are at winner’s cost. Prize includes one way Eurostar rail service from London to Paris for 2 people, 4 nights bed and breakfast buffet accommodation in 3 star hotel in Paris. Includes Paris Museum pass for two people and half day Paris sightseeing tour for 2 people. This prize must be redeemed around 24 April 2009 and 3 May 2009.
  8. 8. If winner selects the London Marathon and Paris package and wants to participate in the 2009 London Marathon, the prize will include a running spot for the promotion winner only.
  9. 9. Only one entry per Eligible Participant will be accepted.
  10. 10. The winner of the promotion is to be drawn by the Promoter in a random draw at 3.00pm (AEST) on 2 February 2009 at 99 Gawler Place, Adelaide SA 5000 and will be notified of their win on the same day by phone and later by mail.
  11. 11. The winner’s name will be published in The Advertiser newspaper on 10 February 2009.
  12. 12. Offer is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. All other costs associated with the prizes and the responsibility of the winner. Prize suppliers’ terms and conditions apply to the use of the prizes.
  13. 13. The Promoter may conduct such further prize draws as are necessary at 3.00pm (AEST) on 2 May 2009 to award prizes that remain unclaimed by that date, subject to any written directions given under Reg 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA).
  14. 14. If the Promoter is unable to provide a winner with a nominated prize, the Promoter reserves the right to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value, subject to relevant State legislation.
  15. 15. The Promoter makes no warranty or representation about the services supplied by any prize supplier whatsoever. Responsibility rests with you to make independent enquiries with the supplier and other third parties as to the need to acquire your own insurance cover.
  16. 16. Subject to law, the Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion, including the terms and conditions. Winners accept and use prizes at their own risk. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which results directly or indirectly from this promotion, except that which cannot be excluded by law.
  17. 17. Any Eligible Participant who, in the opinion of the Promoter, does not properly comply with these terms and conditions will be ineligible to receive the prize.
  18. 18. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the promotion is final and binding on each person who participates. No correspondence will be entered into.
  19. 19. By entering the promotion, Eligible Participants understand and agree that the Promoter may use and disclose the information provided by the Eligible Participant for the purpose of on going marketing by the Promoter. Your personal information will not be disclosed to other organisations for marketing purposes. You may request access to this information. If the Eligible Participant would like to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about the Eligible Participant, or if the Eligible Participant does not wish the information to be disclosed, the Eligible Participant should advise the Promoter by phoning 131 243.
  20. 20. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from receiving the promotion.
